We went to NYC for choir tour senior year and I took 27 pictures!! (So much better than the 7 I took in Ireland.) Ireland freshman year and NYC senior year? Yeah, I'd call us lucky. Here is what I remember... (correct me if any of these details are wrong!)
We were all quite tired when we arrived.
Steph and Megan tried to hide their exhaustion with smiles...
... the Arens did not.
At some point, we woke up early to stand in the rain for hours, ready to see a taping of the Today Show.
We also walked in the rain to sing at Carnegie Hall. (It appears I enjoyed taking pictures of the Arens family while they were wet.)
Two of my favorite boys.
Look, a flag!!! (Oh wait, Megan & Jonathon are in this picture too!)
One of my favorite memories was the walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Also on my "favorites" list was some relaxation time in Central Park.
Wait, didn't I say relaxation....??
There we go. Yes, relaxation.
We ate. This place was fun. (And yummy!)
We saw the sights.
And a few parents.
One day early, we said goodbye to Jonathon. He had to go home to start classes in Davenport. It was definitely a tearfilled and memorable goodbye!!
Here is Megan with the two guys. (Names? The one on the right is Clark!)
We all decided Brenda had to kiss Clark because he was so generous. (And he wasn't getting anything from the rest of us!)
Oh my gosh that night was fun.
We left to return to the hotel VERY LATE. Subway? Closed.
We finally managed to make it to our hotel room. Although, there is a point on our walk that involved Natalie and a bench, that I wish we had on camera!! (Okay.... maybe I'm glad no one got a picture.)
Back at the hotel. (They did make it into the room... eventually.)
I have quite a few pictures from that crazy night out! I will try to pass them on this evening =)
ReplyDeleteThat is the only time in my life I kissed a guy unwillingly. It was a small price to pay for the memory he provided. Priceless! I also remember telling Bruce before we went out that we would "be back before the sun came up." I had no idea at the time that I would be wrong. Terribly wrong!
